ABOUT ME
This blog isn't about me it's about music. These mixes were heavily inspired by the wonderful ones those clever chaps the Allah-Las make weekly as Reverberation Radio. Check them out! Whereas they weave new music with the old mine focus only on music made in the sixties. Why? Well why not! It was a great era for music I feel and is an endless journey of discovery for me. For me it started with falling in love with great bands like the Velvets, Doors, Beatles etc... as an impressionable teenager in the 1980s. Now in my mid-forties I'm still discovering great music from that era. It never ends! I have used this series of DJ mixes to discover music for myself I had not heard before. It's a fascinating journey. I don't claim to be a wonderful DJ or even a website designer but I do have a gigantic passion for music. I have tried to be varied in my choices here and although for the most part the music is rock you will also find ska, psych, surf, psych-pop, funk, soul, folk, world, European psych, northern soul, instrumentals, freakbeat, rock n' roll, rockabilly and anything else I found to be interesting at the time. The quality in terms of the sound is not great at times but I hope you will agree the quality of the actual music is. Listen to these mixes, enjoy them, download them if you like and discover new music but then go and hunt down the music for yourself and create your own journey of discovery. You never know - it might just change your life! ENJOY!!!
